Carol Bachtel has been a friend of Truth Ministry for over 13 years. With a 12 year background coming out of a homosexuality in 1990, Carol found the church to be a healing place, but still wanted to find community of others dealing with some of the same struggles. She met Interim Directorat a small Exodus member ministry in the early 1990s. Some years later McKrae started Truth Ministry and invited Carol to join him to oversee the women’s ministry where she served in that role for several years. More recently, Carol serves Truth Ministry as the Chair of the Board of Directors. Carol lives in Greenville, SC and is married to her husband, Bruce of 15 years.
Shawn Harrison is a longtime youth pastor, who specializes in training youth workers in ministering to the gay community, and working with gay teens and their families. He is also the author of “Ministering to Gay Teenagers” (Group/SYM). Shawn is the Director of Six:11 Ministries, an online ministry to pastors, church leaders and those who are gay, which was birthed out of his testimony and a passion to see lives transformed by the identity and wholeness of Christ. Speaking from his own struggle with SSA, his heart is also to see the Church build authentic and transforming communities with people who identify and struggle with gay attractions.
Daniel Mingo, Founder and Director of Abba’s Delight, Inc., Louisville, KY has led the ministry he started since 2008 that assists those dealing with homosexuality and families/friends of those who are gay-identified to resolve the conflict of homosexuality on their lives. Pastors receive assistance in ministering to those in their congregations whose lives have been impacted by homosexuality. Daniel became a born-again Christian at age 17, yet for nearly 30 years was secretly involved in homosexual activity. He went into recovery in 1993 and continues that overcoming process today. Daniel and his wife, Fran, have been married 30 years and have three adult sons.
Aqueena H. Smith a licensed professional counselor and a registered dance movement therapist (R-DMT) who has her MA in Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy and works as an Expressive Arts Therapists in a hospital setting, to help people work through mental health issues. Living in Chicago, IL, she serves as the coordinator/group leader at her church for those struggling with SSA and relational brokenness. Aqueena has struggled with SSA but embraced her identity and hope in Christ. Her heart is to see others find freedom from the lies they believe about themselves in order to embrace Christ alone who brings freedom and healing.
Christine Sneeringer, the Executive Director of Worthy Creations in Ft Lauderdale, a parachurch ministry specializing in sexual redemption, is a freelance writer, speaker, and comedienne. Her articles have appeared in Charisma, Christian Single, Leading Adults, and Spirit Led Woman. A gifted communicator, Christine is a frequent conference speaker. She is the producer and distributor of multi-media resources by Sy Rogers, who ministers globally on sexuality and relationships. Christine completed her MA in counseling psychology at Palm Beach Atlantic University. She lives in Pompano Beach with her spirited Jack Russell, named Bailey.
Jayson Graves, M.MFT, husband of Susan and father to Selah Rae & Asabella is an Ordained Minister, Christian Psychotherapist and founder of HealingForTheSoul.org, specializing in pastoral coaching and marital/individual counseling for sexual integrity challenges like unwanted same-sex ‘attractions’ and offering therapy and teleconference recovery groups for men, for wives and for teens via telephone/Skype in recovery worldwide. A member of the AACC, Jayson has also served as speaker for New Life Ministries and Focus on the Family and host of The Blazing Grace radio show and PurePassion TV.
